Rodriguez

This story about fellow named Rodriguez… It’s a real story.  A beautiful one.

As soon as it finished on 60 Minutes, I was pulled toward the piano.

I couldn’t help myself.  It was just too much to let pass by.

Later I watched the full documentary Searching for Sugarman…

And the song was done.

He started by playing in bars staring at the wall.  He didn’t want to face the crowd.

And he had been left alone.  Fame and fortune sadly – perhaps fortunately – had simply let him be.

So… This one goes out to Rodriguez.
